PROGRESS REVIEW PRESENTATION

Dear Students,

A progress review presentation is scheduled on 28th October 2017. The presentation should cover objective of project, methodology, literature review and timeline of the project. 15 minutes will be given to each student so plan accordingly the number of slides in your presentation. reminder for signing the undertaking, submission of abstract and methodology

This is to remind you all that the last date(s) for first level milestones of project is as,

signing the undertaking form: 11th September

Submission of Abstract of your project: 15th September

Submission of Methodology alongwith the Timeline: 29th September

guidelines for the project



the below guidelines and dates shall be applicable for the 7th semester btech and 3rd semester mtech project,

1. since the project and guide has been allocated, the student need to meet the guide and sign the undertaking before starting the project. the last date for reporting to the guide is 8th sept. if the project is not allocated, you shall be allocated a project by end of the day tomorrow, i.e., 7th sept. you still have to see your guide by 8th and sign the undertaking. the faculty need to submit the undertaking to me by 12th sept.

2. the student/ group shall submit the abstract of the project in a week time. the last date for submission of abstract is 15th sept

3. once the abstract has been approved, a detail methodology needs to be submitted by 29th sept, in consultation with the guide

4. every group shall be reporting to the guide, once a week. attendance for this shall be recorded with the guide. the day and time of the meeting shall be decided in mutual consultation depending upon the classes of the student and/ or the guide

5. in every meeting, a four slide presentation shall be done by the student/ group which shall detail what was done in the week and what are the plans for the coming week

6. the detail literature survey shall be done by the student/ group in the first half of the project (in the current term) and experimental study shall only start at the end of the term. without the background study no experiment shall begin.

7. there shall be interim review (monthly) of the project as per the announced dates and based upon the availability of panel members. the dates shall be informed to you in a week's time. marks obtained in these interim reviews shall be added towards the internal marks

8. any student, not reporting for the weekly meeting shall be marked absent and no marks shall be given to him. these marks shall count towards the internal marks of the project

9. mtech students have three parts viz., seminar, project and dissertation-1. seminar shall be the literature review or any other topic which shall mutually be decided between the guide and the student. project and dissertation shall be the work being done by the student on the agreed topic.

any other changes to the above guidelines shall be communicated to you as and when it is decided
